Oral Surgeon...

Oral Surgeon, Dr. Boehmer, during an X-ray diagnostic appointment yesterday morning, encouraged me to consider an extraction of the

left lower wisdom tooth. Told him I'd like to sleep on it, check first with my cyberspace family and that my people would then get back to

his Dental Assistant Cynthia or Claudia the Receptionist. Question I'm wrestling with is will I still be able to chew deserving butt and post?

I had all 4 removed when I was 17 or so.

I hear at your age, it might be grinding backwards into your jaw.

The old story of a lady who broke her jaw eating a sandwich.

My concern, Phlab, is the loss of a WISDOM tooth at my tender age... and the possible impact on my continued general forum participation.

What are the reasons for removing it? Does he believe it will cause you problems? Does it hurt?

Little know fact: Over time, your brain will begin to leak out of the resulting empty socket. This explains why Phlab is who he is at his age.

If you are sure his motivation is your well being and not his pay check then trust his advice.

So his brain is slowly leaking out of four holes...simultaneously!

Well thank you, Raven, for your genuine concern. Doctor Boehmer said he wants to remove it just for the lulz. He also believes the

presence of that WISDOM tooth in my mouth may be causing online problems now. As to pain, it only hurts a little bit when I larf.

😵

If there is no real reason to remove it then why bother? My friend had a wisdom tooth removed, it apparently went badly and hurt more than childbirth.
