i asked about chess computer software in the chess only forum and people seemed to have a very high opinion about chessmaster - particularly the tuturials (i think it's called chess academy or something like that).

I'm pretty excited, It's pretty chocked full of stuff. It was 24.95 usd shipping included. everyone else wanted 29.00.

But you have made a good selection; as prad said, for tutoring ChessMaster is unique. I have a very old version (3000) and at that time it was great! I think 9000 must be a lot better... Wow!

From what I think about computers, the newest Fritz is best. I'll be glad if CM9000 can beat Fritz7... I think Fritz is up to a version 9 plus, never mind what they do vs. Kasparov?!?!!????!?!

Far out! At our boxing day sales, I looked in Electronics Boutique and they had it for 15 AUD, marked from 60. Lots of % off this week...

Great pick Rapalla! Chessmaster is the only one I have used, so I can't speak for the others, but I love it. It really has helped me out a lot, the tutorials are great. Lots of fun and learning to you! 😀

Hi guys Thanks to your posts I have just ordered CM9000 on Amazon for £15 gbp. I have used CM 2 on PS and CM for PS2 so heres hoping for more improvement😀😲🙄
