I use Evolution by Ximian's software for my mail what not.
You should go to the support section for hotmail and look for anything in it that will tell you how to configure it within you program. You pop should resemble (example only) mail.hotmail.com and you smtp should look something like blahblah.com or what have you. You need those addresses from your mail provider for the program to access your account. Pluse you email address and password. The suppliers don't want you to miss all of those nice adds or advertisements that you are subjected to when on there server.😛
They are funny like that.
