I had company from Scotland, Canada, and Philly last year.

It's racist against BUMS who don't want to drive or fly!~

All but me, and 3 or 4 others were 'local'.

As the "lone" Canuck there last year I have to say that I was treated pretty good although the beer did leave something to be desired. Thank goodnes someone thought to bring along a wee dram of scotch. The food was outta this world ...but as previously mentioned there sure was a lot (enough to feed at least twice as many as were in attendance). If ya can try and make it the people were great as was the ambience. Hey Handy did I spell that correctly?

You can't go wrong with ambiance (or ambience). Either spelling is correct.. even for people who aren't Canadian.
