And you can play it on Google's home page.

My favorite from the day was Galaxian and Asteroids. I was a teenager when Pong came out and played that quite a bit also.

I used to play a game called 'Orbit' in a local take-away. Like asteroids but two player, one a tiny little enterprise, one a tiny little klingon ship. There was a gravity mass in the centre that you could set at the start, and then you had to shoot the other guy with asteroids-type bullets. Brilliant game. Never seen it as a flash game.

As much as I hate to admit it (in light of my stance against today's videot gamer craze), like you, I was a HUGE fan of the game Asteroids. Couldn't get enough of it. I would cash my check from my part-time dishwasher job, and a buddy and I would sprint to the bowling alley, three rolls of quarters in hand prepared to spend the next four hours plunking 120 quarters into that stupid machine.

This was called Space Wars here in the states.

I saw one about 20 years ago, and it was old then.

That looks and sounds almost identical, but the triangular ship was replaced with a tiny klingon bird of prey (I'm not a trekkie, honest!). It was a long time ago, I admit - musta been late 70s i'd guess.
