Why can they be so irrational? Perhaps mokko can field this one. I don't mean mine either. They used to be crazy (especially mother) but since I've turned 18 and paid them rent, they've rightfully backed off and let me do my thing.
I mean other parents. This weekend is my good friend Rachel's last in town before heading to college. Her mother says she MUST stay home with the family for her last few days. I want to hang out with Rachel! It probably isn't meant to be.
Other parent issues out there?

It's not irrational for her parents to want her to spend her last days at home. If it was my daughter going off to college I'd want to spend as much time with her as possible. It's hard for a parent to let go.

Well since you asked......

Yes, these parents should be taken out and shot for wanting to spend some time with their daughter before she grows up and goes away. How selfish of them!
