Possibly the Rev simply rubbed some raw hamburger somewhere on the vehicle.

My crystal balls are beginning to hang low...they're wobbling to and fro.

GRANNY.

I'm thinking the cops rubbed hamburger on the dogs nose when they should have rubbed it on the dogs tail.

Its a shame, they should have better trained boarder guards!

Making up stories after the fact, don't cut it.

Agreed it is legal to STOP the vehicle. Not make an illegal search.
There is no such thing as an illegal search of a vehicle. You don't need a warrant to search a vehicle. It is lawful to search a vehicle anytime you have a reason to stop it.

Run a red light? Prepare to get searched!

Make a turn without using your blinker? Prepare to get searched!

Why else do you think people always throw out their drugs when they are about to get pulled over?

I know you said you were from NY, but you have a Scotland flag up?

So, what would you know about U.S.A. Law?

They said the dog reacted beforehand.

Making up facts that don't fit the story don't cut it either. Try to pay a little closer attention before commenting.

I grew up in the good ol' US but I am part of the Duncan clan.

Edit: I also had to take law classes for my business degree.

Good For you! So you are living in Scotland now, OR still in the US?

If you stop at a stop light you have obeyed the law, what would be a police officers justification to search you for stopping at a red light. Sorry Tom, you are incorrect. They still have to have show probable cause. The courts usually make it very easy for them to come up with something.

If you run a red light, they still have to validate the probable cause to make a legal search. Many times they will just say you have a tail light out, or claim they smell marijuana. Even though they don't.

The fact that you needed to be pulled pcre is your probably cause.

This has no bearing on my statement since a person could do many things before and after stopping at the lights that could cause an officer to pull them over. If they didn't then an officer wouldn't pull them over.

If an officer did search their car it wouldn't be called an "illegal search" it would be called attempted strong armed robbery.

Like I stated before, if an officer pulls you over prepare to be searched. Most officers won't unless you give them reason but they have every right to do so.

i always thought it was because they hoped the cops would stop to pick them up while they made their getaway.

Added note. Well trained dogs have one tremendous track record for finding illegal ...[text shortened]... ent.

It's not a crime to be an a$$, it is a crime not to follow a direct lawful order.
Well said! This is what many of these BLOCKHEADS are failing to see.

It was part of the conversation on tape prior to all the hubbub starting.

Watch the tape and don't be so ignorant next time you want to make up "facts".
