What is the difference between a pawn star and a pawn star with wings? Also, i noticed some stars have a slightly darker/lighter shade than others. Is there a reason for this or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

This question comes around some times....

Wings are paying members. No wings is probably an original pawn star.... members from the beginning

The darker stars have lots of games... check out their game and move counts... way high.

See ya!

The shade of the stars gets darker with the amount of moves taken 😉.

And as Phlabibit said, no wings means they contributed voluntarily right at the very beginning, before there were restrictions. Their stars are paid for for life, though most of them bought another star when the year was up to help the site along.
