Is it me, or do pawns have way too much power in this game? With nearly no limitations, and the ability to evolve into a queen, I am forced to wonder is this chess I'm playing or pokemon? What do you guys think?

What do you suggest? Down grade the pawns? Or replace them all with bishops?
