You are obviously being paid tooooooo much then. I do get a rise most financial years, but only in line with inflation. Last year this meant I got sweet FA. Sorry but tough poo, that's just the way it is.

Working in higher education so no chance. I'll be lucky to not get a pay cut or be axed completely.

You should go on strike. Don't go back to work until you give yourself a pay rise!

I still get pay rises every year. It probably has less to do with being a music therapist employed by the municipality than with living in Norway.

Money is less important than most think.

Being healthy and appreciating the free pleasures in life makes one realize we actually do not need much materially

Don't even get inflation at the moment, so effectively pay cuts each year. I can assure you environmental consultants don't get paid too much 🙂
