Ive got a mate, 43 years old, martial arts instructor, married with seven kids and he has been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and got about seven months left to live. Cant talk any more, just drools trying to, but the rough thing is is he is still mentally aware, just his body is betraying him, and it would be so frustrating to be trapped in there.
He's probably struggling to get one more question out! :'(

And now they have a handle on what actually causes Alzhiemers, it turns out to be the herpes virus, they just sussed out herpes DNA in the tangles around the neurons that cause the devestation in the brain. They are going to try Alclaver (sp?) the anti herpes drug as a possible cure/preventative.
So many people have been brought down by this, I hope they figure out a total cure, probably too late for Peter though. Sad day for sure.
