Peter Falk, TV's "Columbo" has Alzheimers disease.
Catherine Falk went to court on Friday to try and be named her 81 year old actor father's conserativer.

Thats sad. Falks shows always gave me enjoyment as a kid. I hope he is at peace.

Depends if he's mentally aware or not i suppose. Ive got a mate, 43 years old, martial arts instructor, married with seven kids and he has been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and got about seven months left to live. Cant talk any more, just drools trying to, but the rough thing is is he is still mentally aware, just his body is betraying him, and it would be so frustrating to be trapped in there.

That is catastrophically sad at such a young age and with so many kids....my heart goes out to his wife and family! :'(

PeterF had a good run, and a very very wealthy one at that!

Life can be so cruel! 😠

You'd think his daughter would only have good intentions.. who knows?

The movie Peter was in, "The In-laws," was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.. with Alan Arkin also.

Serpentine!

I didn't know he was 81. Wow, used to watch Columbo all the time.
And now they have a handle on what actually causes Alzhiemers, it turns out to be the herpes virus, they just sussed out herpes DNA in the tangles around the neurons that cause the devestation in the brain. They are going to try Alclaver (sp?) the anti herpes drug as a possible cure/preventative.
So many people have been brought down by this, I hope they figure out a total cure, probably too late for Peter though. Sad day for sure.

He was in truly great movie called "Husbands" with John Cassevetes and Ben Gazzara. About these three married guys who go on a drunken bender over the death of a friend. A real jewell of a movie.
