Our pharmacy has to be the worst in the world 🌍
A few months ago I needed one of my meds refilled. Metformin, probably the most prescribed med for type 2 diabetes, first they needed a doctor's approval, naturally, I contacted my doctor and they confirmed they sent it through, The next day, they said they were still waiting on the doctor, I called the doctor again, and they confirmed it was sent, but would resend it. 5 hours later, the pharmacy said they were still waiting on the doctor. So I called the doctor again, my doctor said she'd call the pharmacy right away. 2 hours later the pharmacy said they were out, had to wait.
My granddaughter needed amoxicillin, 2 day wait.
My daughter's been waiting for a week now, same thing, phone tag with her doctor and pharmacy for 2 days, then it's out of stock.
Such ineptitude can literally kill people.
Does anyone else have a crappy pharmacy? Ours managed 2.5 stars, must have had employees pad it up.
@torunn saidAt one point I told them that, but not as nicely
@Gambrel
They have misunderstood their job and they don't understand people. They should be doing something else.
The turned all snowflake. Had me talk to the supervisor, I basically told him the same thing. Told them to review the tapes if they would like, if stating the truth is abuse, then they're from a different planet.
@Gambrel
Not usually but lately they are falling behind and out of stock or they say you have to do the run around like they did to you.
I'm not on meds but my current girlfriend has some anti inflammatory meds for her arthritis.
@drewnogal saidDamn, where do you live, 1962?
My pharmacist is lovely, we all call her by her first name and she knows almost everyone’s name in our village. She took over after her parents who ran the pharmacy before her.
That's the way it used to be in every drug store. And they had a bunch of them. I'd bet old downtown Greeley had about a dozen of them in a 2 city block square, okay rectangle.
@gambrel saidThanks Brexit 😤

@gambrel saidthis is not the chemists fault but the way they handled the situation made things worse, for 30 years I have been taking Tenif for high blood pressure, 4 months back my gp sent the script to boots & I popped in to collect ,to be told they had a distrabution problem with Tenif ( they make it in barnard castle) eventualy they explained it had ceased manufacture and to ask my gp for a replacement, so I went from 1 pill a day to 5 my BP is now under controll but the meds have left me with arterial fibrilation and a new drug to hep the condition(a blood thinner).
