If Poirot had to pass this test (Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board that is PLAB) he wouldn´t be able to be practicing detective.

Edit::: He is Belgian and he is "only" a detective. So he wouldn'r have needed it.

I love Hercule Poirot, I think he's even better than Miss Marple.

This is the actor I had in mind:

He also acted in 'A Perfect Murder' with Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow and Viggo Mortensen.

Miss Marple is such a nice elder Lady with such good manners.

Poirot is a tad arrogant, isn`t he?

"... By 1930, Agatha Christie found Poirot "insufferable", and by 1960 she felt that he was a "detestable, bombastic, tiresome, ego-centric little creep". Yet the public loved him and Christie refused to kill him off, claiming that it was her duty to produce what the public liked..."

I think Poirot is exactly kind of man Mrs. Christie would like to be if she were a man. Asexual, with a life of an old maid, eccentric, with several compulsive behaviors. Poirot is introvert counter part of Hitler...

He is an alter ego of Sherlock Holmes minus the Kokain and the violine.

An eccentric, perhaps not without charisma.
