I got some DVDs from the videostore (can we still call it that?) but both didn't wanna play. I got some error message about the digital copyright protection...0
This might be the answer, just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience?

Previous DVDs didn't have any problems like this.
Originally posted by CrowleyNot with a DVD, but the copy protection used on the last "Lords Of Leon" CD wouldn't let the CD play in a PC. In that instance, turning off all auto-play functions for the CD drive stopped the DRM-protection rubbish from starting up.

If you're lucky, a similar thing may work on some protected DVDs.
PS, on a Windows machine, holding down the SHIFT key for a good 10 seconds when putting the DVD into the laptop should stop any auto-programs from being executed too.
In general, I'm getting to the point of not buying anything with any copy protection on it. It violates the CD / DVD requirements (from Philips) so shouldn't even be allowed to be called a CD / DVD once they start screwing with it.
