I will be attending college soon, and am wondering about dorm life. Should I live in a dorm, or should I live off campus? The city is more than likely Mobile Alabama (great city) and I'm a very outgoing and outspoken person, but I also HATE rules. What do ya'll think?

First year: do your time in the dorm. it's without doubt the best way to meet other people, some of whom you'll like, most of whom are perfectly OK but not your cup of tea (to use a UK-ism).

As for the the issue of rules: grow up. It is what college is for after all.

I put that I hate rules because that would help people decide whats right for me, not for people to tell me to grow up.

I have done both, and they both have their good and bad points. Dorm life is noisy and social and fun. You may make your very best friends, or you may end up with the roomie from Hell. The rules are not that bad. You get alot of support from the people you meet.
An apartment is good as well, because you have more freedom, but you also have more responsibility. Friendships can be ruined in a roomie situation in an apartment.
