Please be honest in answering the following question: If a chess site's general forum you had participated in had gradually deteriorated to the point where most all of the conversational

topics and member posting content was either predictably childish and immature or mindless and boring would you shop around for other viable and entertaining options? Thanks. -gb

Answer me this: if you asked a really really loaded question, where to offer an honest answer might make you look like a proper knob in front of your family and friends, and be the subject of ridicule for generations to come, followed by being a social pariah and outcast from the e-community, would you really want to put yourself through that for no discernible gain?

Actually the decribed posters won't be offended by that as you have seen. BUT mature thoughtful and interesting people might.
Plus the latter are the once you want to participate, but since you generally judged their posts they won't.
