My intention was to get a debate going about the age old saying.... you don't discuss religion or politics. Just a small hint for you.

You will hardly succed to change the political / religious views of anyone on internet forums nor in the reality for that matter. Human beings posses strange defect of not being able to listen to the others. Human conversation is in 95 % cases a mere chain of artificially connected monologues. Everybody just wait that the other person stops blabering to make their own point, which isn't listened and understood at all, too.

Did you pay attention to what I am saying here ? 😛

You didn't, did ya ?!

I told you !

I did. Smaug was right. I should have made my post more diffinitive. My point is that after reading numerius posts, polictical and religion debates never achive anything. We all have our beliefs about both. Many if not all are instilled in us from our parents, or other influential people in our lives.

Thats true. And if you take something for granted you always get frustrated when others can not understand that. But we are all different, as you said.

I like to hold my opinion, if you have good arguments I might change it, and if someone has reasonable beliefs I do not share with him, I try to respect that.

Unfortunately political / religious related threads usually mutate to some low standard fights and such threads provide nice shelter for numerous trolls.
