I want to download (steal) some popular classical music tunes.
The problem is, I don't know any.
I'm thinking along the lines of Verdi's "Triumph march of Aida" and "Slave choir", but also that tune you often hear in horror films (with the chanting).
That speedy song: D d d / d d d dd ddd/ ddd ddd / etc.(It's untypable...)
Fuher aliese??? God knows...
I've tried googling, but I'm getting bloody nowhere...
I need about 10 to 12 titles of classical pieces I will have heard before. The sort of music they play on "Last night of the proms" sort of occasions...
Cheers.

Bach: Brandenburg 3rd
Motzart: Eine Kleine Nachtmuzik
Barber: Adagio for Strings
(dunno how suitable these are)
Are you looking for loud, orchestral pieces? Moving and booming? Or pretty little ditties? I suspect that you are not looking for something tame. Fur Elise is a pretty little ditty by Beethoven. His 5th symphony is something I think you are looking for. Da da da daaaaa, Da da da daaaaa, etc. Also Sprach Zarathustra (Strauss inspired by Nietzsche's
work) I have lots more ideas. Let me know what you are looking for.

Other than that, try any of the pieces from "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint-Saens, most of those are fairly recognisable (esp "the Aquarium" and "Fossils" ) Danse Macabre is also one of his, the tune more recognisable as the theme from Jonathon Creek, if you ever watched it.
"The Brandenburg concerto" (Bach) is pretty recognisable, "eine kleine nachtmusik" by Motzart you will definately know. "The Minute Waltz" by Strauss will ring a bell.
For something more light-hearted, try "Sabre Dance" by Aram Khachaturian, you will want to start juggling as soon as it starts.
If you want more, just shout....
