This may not be a good idea in the public forums, the howler monkeys can drown out conversation. A few suggestions: Join RHP and join a clan, that will give you a base of people you can get to know and a more controled private forum to chat. Write a profile, people that see it may respond. Each game you play, click on your opponent's username and see if they have a profile written, I've made several new friends that way. If you read a forum post that impresses you, pm the author with a few kind words.
