Manual windows DO fail at times.
I had one fail on my car when I was a kid.
The gear locked up and the window wouldn't move.
Had to take the whole damn door apart to get to the gear.
Plus, I had the handle of one fall off in my hand, once.

if a vampire looks in a mirror and sees his or her reflection

does that mean that he or she is not really a vampire?

When I put my bank card into the ATM
I get a 20 second video of the bank
manager laughing at me. 🙁

careful with those briefs
please, nevermind caution.
there are other consequential things to do and say:
like the way the urge to worship united the earliest prehistoric civilizations;
and how public forums in catacombs and caves served as a social nexus to meet
the needs of hunter gatherers and artisans and farmers to belong.
there's probably more we could say
but nobody's listening.

if intelligent people of sound mind were awake and paying attention,
which they're not, worthwhile thread flights of the imagination available
within the mix of internet forums in today's world
wouldn't perish into premature oblivion
the way they do.
so, let's save it
for some other
place and
time
.

Once when I was about 12 years old I was in the bathroom pretending to shave and reflected in the mirror behind me was the Virgin Mary. It was really weird eh? Then I turned around and saw the framed picture of her that was hanging on the wall opposite the mirror. Man I felt so stupid. 😳

no reason to 'feel stupid', stees... something real to you is worth keeping.
anybody objects, they can take a stroll along the beach and pound sand.

Maybe they are just seeing what they want to see, but your theory is much more plausible.

Ya but the real "odd" thing was we aren't Catholic. At the time we were atheists.

All the more reason if, at the time, there was nothing or no one to which/whom you could cling.
