There's been much discussion recently about which national team is better than which other team, particularly in view of recent events where engerland realised they weren't invincible after all.

Of course, FIFA produce rankings to allow teams to be compared, but that just reflects the current position. It would be interesting to see who was the most succesful team historically.

This site, as well as tracking who the current 'unofficial' (ie not from the world cup) world champions are, has lots of stats. Enjoy.

Typical!
Scotland's not been champion since 1967!!
Me thinks we should challenge Zimbabwe for a 'friendly'.

But Scotland is top of the all-time rankings though.

Well yes, because we were playing international football whilst all the other countries were out getting sun tanned.

Is this yet another Caledonian plan to take over the world?
