After 70 years as Monarch it is apparent that she will pass away quite soon.
It is reported that on Monday she insisted on meeting Johnson and Truss and overseeing the traditional handover of UK political power. It was clear from the photographs of the event that she was looking terribly frail and bruises from her blood thinning drugs were visible.
Dutiful to the end.
@torunn saidIndeed. She had a kind of class none of the other heirs to the throne were capable of. My mother was born in the same year as QE and she passed last year. Anyone seeing their 90th birthday in good health are blessed people. I dont fancy the monarchy and I think it is time the world do away with such things but QE is an exceptional individual.
@divegeester
It will be a very sad day.

@very-rusty saidCharles will do a good job at managing the reform of the monarchy.
It will be interesting to see how Charles handles things. If he stays away from the Politics as the queen did. It may survive, if not it will indeed fall apart in my opinion.
She was one of a kind and can not be replaced.

@divegeester saidI do hope so. I'm in two minds. Either he is so focused on his own interests that he doesn't care about politics and knows it, or he is so focused on his own interests that he tries to force it on Parliament. I hope, and believe, the first.
Charles will do a good job at managing the reform of the monarchy.
@divegeester saidI'd rather listen to Sir Cliff.
Let’s hope not.
I mean, I'd rather not; but rather Sir Harry Roger than Sir Reggie Ken.
