-Removed-Oh, I do believe he'll go for climate preservation. So will - does - our own Willem Alexander. That, at least, I approve about them both, But social change? Eh, both of those are decidedly behind the curve.
Yours just wants to be allowed to remarry, and still call his new wife "queen". Ours just wants us to ignore his father-in-law's history. Social change will have to come - well, let's be honest: not from their children, either. William will just amble along, and do no harm - fair to him, for all that - and Harry will stay in Hollywood and influence Tumblr. Meanwhile, Amalia will study "International Relations and Politics", or something similar, and make no waves at all.
No, I don't think they will make political changes at all.
Then again, I don't think they should. Political change should come from the people, and the royals should approve of it. I think both Charles (and William), and Willem-Alexander, will. And the politicians, not the royals, should tremble in fear.
-Removed-I think Charles will do OK. In spite of the optics he seems to generate.
He has already had opportunity to ease himself into the role over the past year.
The Queen was more or less thrust into the role. Twice.
Once into the in-line to the throne role and once into the throne itself. By the time she was 25.
Perhaps what people may be expecting from Charles is that the role will be less ceremonial than it has been in the past.
@very-rusty saidWell said.
I knew I would get red thumbs from people for saying that, but it was something I had to say. People can be so rude when there is no need, and certainly not the time to be.
