As far as I know, there are no chess variants on this site at all.

Chess vagrants are another story entirely.

Try www.brainking.com or www.goldtoken.com. At GoldToken, a subscription is required to play variants, although the plus side is that they have tons of variants of backgammon, checkers and chess, their top three games.

FICS and ICC might have it too, but I'm not sure if they do.

I honestly don't know the answer to this question. But I really strongly recommend the best seller by Michel Houellbecq called atomised. It is actually about atomised chess but only if you read between the lines.

It is chess with plutonium pieces. The winner doesn't die from radiation poisoning.

Atomic Chess is like regular chess but when a piece (or a pawn) is taken, every piece (yours as well as your opponent's) within a 3x3 square centered on the taken piece is removed also. Some variants include pawns, some don't. There are special rules for check (and therefore stalemate) which are optional.

Is that like Palynka trying to pull a bird in hot night clubs?
