Questions about new feature/slow loading

I have noticed that the "your games" and "manage games" screens are loading very slowly for me.
Is this because of the new "preview" feature? Is there any way to turn the preview boards off?

Possibly, I will do some analysis (other than that that I have done
already) when i have some spare time. The actual board previews
really don't add much weight to the page [which is the clever bit about
them 🙂 ] - but they do add a little.
