I was just looking through the site and noticed this on the list of
highest rated players:
Dudious Logic with a record of 11-0-1 had a rating of 1370
while
ViJay with a record of 12-0-0 had a rating of 1352
How is this correct? And is there anyway to get a list of how many
people are registered and active with this site? I noticed there doesn't
seem to be a way to scroll down the list of players - it only lists the top
20 or so...

The points people receive is dependent on the rating of the player
being played. Consult the help for more details.
There currently is no way of scrolling through all the players.
We are quite a new site [late February] - and the number of
registered users was always slightly sensitive information - but now we
have grown - I think we can be more relaxed about that kind of
information.

No - that is never going to be the case.
We might introduce a donation scheme - as we do need funds to run.
[All the ad networks are paying very little and others are closing
down!]
But it never will be mandatory - so if people want to help us, then
great - otherwise, no problem. So don't panic!

When you win or lose a game, your rating is not adjusted by a fixed
amount. In other words:
If you win against a higher rated player, you get more points than if
you win against someone with a lower rating than yourself.
If you lose against a higher rated player, you will lose less points than
if you lose against someone with a lower rating.
Hope that helps....
