Ratings Shagged !! Anyone else seen them

I played a game today and the person I played was rated 1200 when we started the game and over 1700 when I had lost any idea's AFTER 25 minutes !!! Didn't affect me apart from the fact he took more points off me than someone rated 1700 would have done. He'd only played and finished 1 game!!!

Anyone know if the ratings are shagged on this site?

Was that your game vs CivPro1?
I suspect so, in which case it is because all ratings are highly variable until they have completed 20 rated games. Before that, they can up and down like mad.
