Do blokes tend to wear bright shirts/ties for these occasions or darker more serious attire? (how about jackets/trousers...gray or black? ...[text shortened]... 's a church wedding btw and I haven't set foot in one of those places for a very long time .

I somehow doubt my almost white matchstick legs and knobbly knees would compliment a kilt to be totally honest. Anyway I've made my purchase- charcoal grey suit with off white/blue shirt and charcoal grey tie - not so sure about the tie actually though.

Aye...thing is I never wear vibrant clothing and the most vibrant all my 'fall back' ties (dark blue with white hatched pattern) is showing visible signs of age (frayed to hell and back). I've cut most of the fluff off it but it needs to be retired methinks! Agh...will have to make a 9.00 town visit, bite the bullet and get myself a bright tie - red or light blue or something. 😕

Ha! That actually looks pretty good 😵 Can't think of anywhere other than a chess oriented setting I could get away with wearing it though.

you should have consulted a chick first dude, anyone would do, ask them what colours
suit you. I was fed up spending hundreds of pounds on suits that did not suit me, so I
asked a chick and she did like a colour chart to match skin and eyes, chicks are
awesome at that sort of thing.

One thing I do recall is that on two occasions, a suit that seemed great in the shop acquired a whole new colouring in sunlight. Both times it was bad news (why couldn't it be good news?). One I got whistled by builders. 😳 It had little sparkling coloured threads I had not noticed, being someone who hates to hang about shops. I needed it quickly for a job interview and it was too late to change (and into what? I was still a student then). (No I did not get that job.)

Always, always, walk outside and see how the sunlight plays off of it. When in doubt, ask the person you will most often be wearing the suit for. 😉
