Ok, I have a spare machine for my wife - and because that has XP Home on it, and I think I can see what the problem is.

XP supports zip folders (compressed folders) - so you can browse zip folders and run files in almost the same way as any other folder. But it does not work in this case.

Clicking the RHPLive.zip file you downloaded will display a folde ...[text shortened]... ck the rhplive.exe in your new folder. It will thenwork ok. No, really, it will. 😉

What operating system are you using? Can you give me the exact error please. Thanks.

One of the reasons I stopped spending too much time on this before was because .Net was VERY new when I started. I was hoping it would be installed on most people's machines by now. Looks like I was wrong.

Which bit of advice worked for you? It would be nice to know, as I can then update a FAQ.

The create a new folder and drag the zipped version across to unzip it.

It works fine now, after reinstalling the .Net frameworks!

Good job here Russ, just a little bit of modifying, and we'll be at the ICC level!;-)

I still can't get it to work.

I am using a Windows 98. Will I be able to run RHPLIVE? 🙁

Have you downloaded the .Net Framworks? Have you unzipped the Compressed folder? Do you have your computer on?😛

Russ: I hate time bonuses, could you make an option to play a game without it in the next version?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I didn't think it was even possible to install .Net on Windows 98.

But a bit of advice, move away from '98 now. It is old and stinky. 🙄

Just had a couple of enjoyable games against TimmyToilet. Lots of attacking risks, and no doubt lots of mistakes on both sides too! Good fun 🙂
