There are those ( not me ) who think that the non subs
have far too many privileges already.
Posting on the forums for example, and constant access
whereas other sites only allow limited access and only for a while
and certainly would not countenance non subs remaining for years.
Other sites allow you to get a feel for their service and then,
when your time is up they politely ask you to subscribe in order
to experience the full benefits of what the site has to offer.
If you do not well then that is your choice but continued access
is withdrawn or severely curtailed.
As for avatars? Well I suppose you're lucky you're here at all
never mind looking for a fancy picture.

Agree, Andy, we'll have to wait for kev to reply. You may have noticed that Russ seemed to express an understandable interest in retaining the site's present subscriber base in "The new experience" thread, page two. Wouldn't you?
