The Yankees would be just another baseball team without the Red Sox.😉

One game means what????

Do you need to be reminded about the last RedSox -Yankees world Series? You can have that one game. Have the whole series. But the World Series is called the Championship. Yankees = Chokers, led by mr clutch choker AROD.
Ummm, one game actually means alot when playing against the team who you are trying to catch. It means you are now anothe game behind them. And actually I think it is now 4 games that NY has won putting the sox another 4 games behind them than they were before this series. And with David Wells pitching it is about to become 5 games. haha. Last year doesn't matter, the fact is THIS year the sox won't even be in the playoffs.

The Red Sox fans that I know had already given up hope before this disaster began, I think that the players had as well.

Sox fans seem to have little faith. I guess one world series in a hundred years will do that.

Those are not real fans, sorry. The real fans gave up after the double-header.

I think you have this backwards!

Boston's whole team persona is tied up in hating the Yankees.

Ask a NYY fan who they would most like to see the Yankees beat and they'll usually say the Mets!

That is what Yankee fan likes you to think, but they do care about Boston... they just like to rub it in and act like they don't care.

I think the Yankee-Red Sox games are a much bigger deal now that the novelty of the interleague games has worn off. Plus the fact in the last few years the Yanks and Sox have been so evenly matched (until this weekend anyway).

Totally wrong. As a New Yorker and a huge Yankees fan (win or lose). We have never cared about the Mets. Until inter-league play we never even played the Mets during the regular season and before that its not like they could ever make it to the world series to play against us anyway. The Mets have sucked for a long time and yes I know they won back in like 1986 I think it was but, other than that the Mets since then have sucked and Yankees fans don't care about them. They finally went out and spent some money and they will win their Divisione asily but notice how no one is mentioning them when they talk about the world series and this years champion. I feel about the Mets the same way I feel about the Knicks. They can spend all the money in the world and get the best players on their team and they will still find a way to screw it up and lose badly in the end.
