I think the Yankee-Red Sox games are a much bigger deal now that the novelty of the interleague games has worn off. Plus the fact in the last few years the Yanks and Sox have been so evenly matched (until this weekend anyway).
If anyone wants to hear John Sterling calling today's game you can go here:

Just click the live feed. "LISTEN TO THE SCORE ONLINE RIGHT NOW!" Ticker under the banner.
I can listen to the Red Sox radio broadcast, but it is not nearly as interesting or good.
If you hear nothing now or during the broadcast, it is just a commercial. They don't air those. The dummies who have their commercials on the Score wanted royalties or something stupid, not realizing they are getting free advertising. Stupied!

The game just started, and will probably run the next 4 hours or so knowing these two teams.

Totally wrong. As a New Yorker and a huge Yankees fan (win or lose). We have never cared about the Mets. Until inter-league play we never even played the Mets during the regular season and before that its not like they could ever make it to the world series to play against us anyway. The Mets have sucked for a long time and yes I know they won back in l ...[text shortened]... players on their team and they will still find a way to screw it up and lose badly in the end.
I also lived and worked in Manahattan for many, many years. I still stick to my original statement; the Yankees don't hate the Red Sox as much as the Red Sox hate the Yankees and it is not entirely out-of-line that Yankee fans hate the Mets more than they hate the Red Sox.
Although, I agree that in recent years the Red Sox rivalry has grown in importance.
