the only reason the yanks continue towin year after year is the fact that they have an amazing budget. i hate the yanks and everything they represent! there is no reason that they should have millions of dollars worth of salary room over every other team in the league. i for one dont like boston, but i would much rather (as well as the rest of america) see them go to the series rather than the rich yanks!

I felt better watching the ball go out than I do right now about the whole thing. Almost 24 hours later and I am one glum chum.

Sorry Phlabby. I feel your pain, just not as much. I think it's the wrinkled skin. Don't feel near as much as I used to.😉 When the Jazz got beaten by the Bulls two years running, I was down for a day or two each time. Sometimes being a fan isn't easy. But being an airconditioner is even more difficult! 😕
as far as the sox losing to the yanks, well.... it's kind of choosing between the lesser of two evils. the yankees have a huge payroll ($150 mill+), however the red sox is huge too ($90 mill+), which is twice as high as the marlins. so the bigger evil depends on the year, the current group of players, etc. this year the yankees have more homegrown players on their roster than the sox, who are mostly free agents from other teams. 1 point yanks. the yanks have classier players this year; while they both had their turns acting like children during the alcs, the red sox were total babys during the A's series, no class at all. 2 points yanks. finally, deduct 1 point from the red sox for all that stupid "cowboy up" nonsense. please!
final score: yanks 2, sox -1
sox fans shouldn't worry, though. the yankee train appears as if it may get derailed this offseason. too many guys leaving. pitching staff will be in shambles. giambi's goin downhill. sox have another year before they even have to think about such issues.
