I love this site, overall it’s great, and the last update was well intended and good for the chess aspects, but it has not improved the forum experience which has also suffered from the removal of the forum search facility.

There are those who claim that my leaving the forums would help improve them.

I may try that out in the New Year to see how it goes. πŸ˜‰

I tried that the other day as part of our fence is needing repairs. I may need to get the backhoe out as my "brut" strength appears to have vanished.

Some posters don't, though perhaps should, take advantage of this new ability. πŸ€” πŸ˜›

I’d vote for automatic post removal after 15 days, with opt-out of automatic removal available in the poster’s settings. Upon opt-out, the new post-by-post removal option remains available to the poster, in perpetuity.

This is in the interest of maximizing control of one’s own posting history by the user. May also encourage the running of tentative ideas up the flagpole for criticism. Like this tentative idea.🀢🏼
