You should walk in my shoes before making a statement like that.

That's a tough question for me. I'm not sure what retirement means for me because I'm quite certain I'll keep working till I expire. There's so many things I want to do. Unfortunately I think I will die before I can get it all done.
But you're whittling away at it right?

Hey, why are we getting thumbed down for talking about retirement? 😉
Because this is a divegeester thread!
(And now you are tarred with the same brush ... beware!)

That might trigger the rare feeling of empathy. Rare on the internet, that is.

What do you mean "walk in your shoes before making a statement like that"?

It wasn't meant as a slight old boy. I was trying to be helpful. I didn't think you'd take it as though I don't care about your situation. On the contrary, I was trying to share a perspective about work. The reasons why you have to work are none of my business, but you don't need to be discouraged by your circumstances as hard as they may be. 😞

Personally I never worried too much about my circumstances no matter how dire they were. And believe me you've never seen it as hard as I have.

Is that called "One-upmanship"? 😉

Loved it.

I'm sure sonhouse feels your empathy.

My retirement plan is to die.
