Well, lately i've seen lots of threads about the person starting it, so here's mine.
In September 2003 I joined 600+ other like minded humans in Gorilla suits to take part in the first ever "Great Gorilla Run", to raise funds for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund - see http://www.dianfossey.org/
Each of us running that day represented one of the few remaining Gorillas on the planet.
In 2005 the Gorilla Strikes Back, only this time on a bigger scale. On the same day as the 2005 GGR I will be running the Coventry Half Marathon in my Gorilla-Guise, once again to raise funds to help save the Gorilla's - which is where you come in!
The Gorilla suit is thick and heavy, leading to a hot tiring run whatever the weather, so to run 13.1 miles will be quite a challenge for me.
By supporting me you'll be helping to save the world's last remaining Gorillas, who are targeted by poachers and illegal game hunters, threatened by the effects of civil war and human disease and face losing their beautiful forest habitat as a result of deforestation and human encroachment.
