It's easy to criticize, but the fact is I don't see any of your mugs playing original songs online. If you think you can do better then let's see it. Phlab does alright and he at least demonstrates that he has a pair.

Ever hear the sound a cat makes on a hot tin roof?

I think we have every right to give our opinions on his singing, if he wants to put himself out there, if you don't like it, or he doesn't like it, thats just too bad.

He certainly doesn't have any problem being critical of others.

Don't encourage him, he really isn't that good. Are you tone deaf by the way?

Read very carefully: If you think you can do better then let's see it.

If you can't then your opinion counts for jack.

Badwater, I embrace the principle but also wonder if the same stricture applies

to random 'rhp gf thread criticizers' who seldom contribute threads of their own.

Really?

I think you have a much better voice, and once you are not scared to throw it out, will sound much better than Phlabs ever could.

I just say it like I see it, those who don't like it too bad.

You also shouldn't say something sounds great if it actually doesn't. A friend likes to hear the truth don't you think?

Not his voice, his lyric writing. I am happy with what i can do, but having little time to cultivate songworthy opinions i find it hard to write songs that don't say work sucks.

Ok, I was still back on the voice thing.

I will agree with that, is he can throw something together out of thin air, just doesn't spit it out all that well.

I still think he would be good to lead a campfire sing-a-long. How is that for being positive? 😉
