Appears Chris was more involved back in the beginning even had a pic up.

Has Russ ever had a picture up?

Before anyone asks...NO I do not have a picture up or do I intend on putting one up. It would scare the children on the site. 😉

Maybe I should add a few comments about 'civilness' of the early days:

The original forum did not have moderators.
It wasn't very long until it was shut down for a few weeks.
Chris did a complete overhaul.
The forum that came back after that did have moderators.

RHP members had access to a live IRC chatroom.
RHP admin did not have anything to do with it other than to furnish a link to it from our site.
RHP members that used the chatroom were expected to behave in accordance with the chatroom server rules.
The RHP chatroom was closed in a few weeks, never to return.

So what I am saying is that if you happen to observe a little uncivil behavior here, it certainly is not something new.

Russ mentioned just a few posts earlier that he has lost some hair over the years.
Now you know why!

I read some of the historic threads.

Back in the day, there were rumors that Russ sold his car to help pay for upgrades on the equipment used for the site, but I think it later came out that he actually just traded it in on his first Rolls, shortly after subscription memberships were introduced!

I don't think he has ever confirmed or denied that, so we still don't know. 🙂
