Are you sure it was a giant tsunami and not a normal sized tsunami.
A giant tsunami might have destroyed the city as well. 😏
You never heard of the giant tsunami that hit hit Ireland in 1987? Many cows and sheep perished, Belmullet was completely wiped out but Galway was spared.

Nautical is good.

What does "in a bubble" mean exactly?
Something similar to being glued to FOX News all the time.

As of now two people have chosen to do so. They are completely in their right, and probably wouldn't have been deterred by labeling them.

Let's win them over with creative masterpieces.

They may be from @lonestranger and @ironhorse21

Just to get back on topic: Any suggestions for themes?

I will put up a poll on Friday, and consider suggestions closed on Thursday 23.59 (RHP-time)

@Ponderable

First idea: Writer's Choice

Second idea: Comedic Nursery Rhymes

I don't know if I'm going to write one but it would be great to have an idea of how many people are going to be involved.

It would be unfortunate to have people put in the work only to see a low turnout.

Last time we did this in the GF we had 8 authors I think and 14 stories (you can write up to three)

OK, lets see if we can have a new edition of the time-honoured competition.

Rules will be presented like the last one.

Now I ask everybody for usggestions about topics.

My suggestions:

nautical theme
"in a bubble"

or a picture worth 1000 words (I would look for a link to a picture, that I think is open enough for a lot of stories and is freely accesible.
for the last forty years I have toiled in a Bubble factory in north yorkshire, it was a better job than the porridge mines that I had worked in for the previous 10 years.

the bubbles I made were either dialog or thought, I originaly made them for Andy Capp progressing eventually to the Dandy & Beano,I met my lovely wife Chris who was Bubbling for the Bunty girls comic, she worked primaraly on the Four Marys but moonlighted on Minnie the Minx basicly we made beautifull bubbles together.
