or a picture worth 1000 words (I would look for a link to a picture, that I think is open enough for a lot of stories and is freely accesible.

I envisage a closed system, the limits of which could be defined in a variety of ways.

I grew up in a small seaside town but a giant tsunami destroyed the town. Later I moved to a large city with a low tsunami risk.
A giant tsunami might have destroyed the city as well. 😏
