In other words, the terms are meaningless. We may interpret them any way we see fit and submit anything we please. If that is so, then why have any categories at all? Why not just have an art competition with no categories?

Don't be a retard. I didn't say "why bother having an art competition at all?", I said "why bother having any categories at all?" If it to be left solely to my "imagination" to interpret what is meant by 'apocalypse' and 'red night' as categories, then there seems little point in having them.
