What are deli slices? And what's funny about the name?

So what does turkey taste like? Is it anything like chicken? If so, the imitation would have to be quite far off, or I wouldn't like it.

Deli Slices = Sliced Sandwich Meat

Tofu + Turkey = Tofurky ~ Brad + Angelina = Brangelina

Knowing your taste in food, you might be an exception. I'm sure most people would like it though if they gave it a try.

Who are Brad and Angelina, and what do they have to do with Tofurky, or with deli slices? I am confused. I am also still wondering what Tofurky Jurky Wishstix might be.

Brad and Angelina are an annoying (US) celebrity couple who the press has cleverly dubbed, "Brangelina" (by combining their names). Tofu + Turkey = Tofurky. Sounds weird.....to me anyway.

Tofurky Jurky Wishstix are Tofurky's answer to the wishbone that you get with a turkey dinner. They basically just taste like jerky (dried seasoned meat). I don't know why they call them "wishstix". They don't resemble a wishbone at all.

Okay, so when you talked about deli slices, you meant any tofurky products, and when you said you found the name funny, you meant "tofurky", not "deli slices" or some other name, and "Brangelina" didn't have anything to do with anything other than that it's a combination of two words/names like "tofurky"?

I have never heard about wishbones or jerky. Is the wishbone something like the almond in the pudding - the one who finds the bone can make a wish, or something like that?

Correct.

The wishbone, known in anatomy as the furcula, is a sternum bone found in birds which is shaped like the letter Y. It is used as an attachment point for the wing muscles. It is so named because of a tradition: Two people pull on each side of such a bone, and when it breaks, the one who gets the larger part is said to have a wish granted.

The wishbone is very different from the gas pedal but the results are the same - devastating!
