If your keyboard (or typewriter) doesn't have ö or ä, then it's unlikely to have œ or æ either!

If it has ö and ä, it's unlikely to have œ or æ. If it has œ and æ, it's unlikely to have ö and ä. If it doesn't have ö and ä, it might have some other umlauts.

I don't think you will find that on any non-German keyboards. If you don't have it, you write 'ss' instead. It was discussed whether the 'ß' should be removed from German in the last spelling reform, which would have made sense because one goal of the spelling reform was to have the same spelling rules in Germany, Austria and the German-speaking part of Switzerland, and the 'ß' is not used in Switzerland. But it was kept - just one of the things which made the spelling reform completely pointless.

my keyboard doesn't have œ or æ or even ç, and yet miraculously I can type them. 🙂 ä,ö and å I've got...
