To all RHP gourmets - what can you stuff into a celery stick ?

Martin Williams had a post a few days back about your fave cheese and suggested Roquefort cheese packed into a celery stick.

I have just invented this celery gourmet dish - put some dolcellate or gorgnzolla cheese in the middle of your celery stick, then fill out each end with houmous. Grate on some coarse black pepper and top with rocket salad. Absolutely gorg.- surely celery is one of the greatest
crunchy foods known to human-kind 😛

What else can you suggest you would stuff into a celery stick for that orgasmic lift off ?

Thanks Rav - checking his site out now.

Would be interested to hear if there are celery fans around here who have some ideas.

I've always had Peanut Butter... but my wife has always had Philly Cream Cheese....

Try it... or mix them for an experiance beyond anything I know about it.

Thanks ES - but I'm not over keen on peanut butter. Maybe will try the mix just for the experience - hmm could be possible as my wife usually has a stash some where in the kitchen.

Thanks for contribution - Barry

It is traditional in my family to have celery stuffed with pimento cheese at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I makle the pimento cheese with shredded cheddar, chopped onions, pimentos, mayonaise, and garlic. Yum!

Thanks jimslyp and EDG - yes kinda like either cottage cheese or potato salad with black pepper. EDG - will have to try your pimento filling too, looks a full-on powerful strong taste with the garlic 🙄

After a hot day in the sun:

Mix, with a spoon, a liter of firm joghurt with lots of fresh chopped up garlic, lots of freshly grinded black pepper and a bit of salt. Add lots of freshly chopped up cucumber (small cubes, remove the watery seeds !) and add one freshly and very thinly chopped up union. Add green olives without pits as much as you like. Let the tastes mingle for one or two hours.

Everybody gets his own deep plate or small bowl. Use the cellery sticks as eatable spoons or use a fork to dip them in the joghurt and pick up the goodies. You can serve this dish together with a fresh French loaf, butter and a glass of dry white wine.

Santé !

Peanut Butter and rasins sprinkled about. AKA "Ants on a Log".

Heresy!
You forgot the garlic butter.
Mix up the roquefort with about one quarter of the amount of garlic butter and THEN stuff it into celery.

Other great celery fillings are peanut butter, egg mayo, prawn mayo, or the old fave salad cream.

I know they say everything in Texas is bigger, but the celery would have to be pretty impressive 😛
