Hey, have there ever been any Red Hot Pawn Awards to recognise the contribution of our most esteemed members? Because if not, I'd like to propose that we start them now. And I'd like to begin the nominations with one for Prad, for being ridiculously nice in the face of extreme provocation, and for services to vegetarianism.
Any other ideas (no reason why they should always be flattering!)
Rich.

Funniest poster/opponent (wit, humour, goading skill, etc)
Most thought-provoking poster (someone, whether you agree with their content or not, that turns on a few lights upstairs in those parts of the brain that tend to stay a bit dim and gets you thinking)
Most annoying poster 😉
Favourite newbie (someone who joined since December 1st, 2003)
Favourite oldie (someone who joined during 2001)
Most respected user (can be just a vote for someone you like/admire/just downright respect)
If there's interest then people could send a message containing their vote to some appointed bod who'd keep track of the voting. At the end of a two week period the winners would be announced. Perhaps the chief could rustle (pun intended 😉) something up to go in the winners' profiles or a page somewhere on the site with the names of the winners.

As a grand sort of chap who kindly plays chess.
He puts up with much, not the least bein' a bear,
That is willful overmuch and prone to make mess.
Rhymester gets a vote for most patient. Anyone who can be "dogged" by a bear, and still have a kind word at any time of day or night is pretty much a saint.
Originally posted by RhymesterI dunno Rhymo, don't let RedHotTed count his chicks 'fore they're hatched. What with those handsome chaps LittleBear and huntingbear in the mix, it makes for a highly competitive category... 😉

Originally posted by T1000Thank you, but clearly the competition is between Ted and Little Bear! Ted's got that rebel look and Little Bear looks like Winnie-the-Pooh (a celebrity admired in the bear world for his good looks). My bear looks a little out-of-shape 😳:'(😳
