@mwmiller saidI couldn't even imagine the Site without Moderators! I find a big improvement in the Moderation from back then and now personally.
Actually, it didn't take very long at all.
Things started just fine, but within a short period of time things got pretty ugly, and finally got to the point where the forums were totally shut down.
They stayed shut down for a while, and then the new forum was brought in and it included the first moderators.

@the-gravedigger saidI am the manager of an all-woman travelling troupe of Shakespearean actors called "Acting Like Girls" that renders abridged versions of the Bard's tragedies either in a mud bath or bathed in jello/lard. I've come down in the world, but I am content.
What became of old FMF.
Is he a shambling dishevelled automaton sat on a park bench waiting for Godot.
Or did he buy a bungalow in Croydon and join the local bowls club?
@very-rusty saidIt was pretty knock-down drag out back then (or so I'm told). I didn't show up until 2003 and I don't think I even posted until nearly a year later. A lot of ups and downs in the forum until right about then when things started to crystallize out into factions.
Didn't really need any back then though did you?

If you're still interested in some early RHP history, here's an actual look at our first forum system, before things got rowdy and had to be shut down. It was small and simple compared to what it has become today.
You can actually still click away and take a look at some of the threads and posts, and some of the links at the top of the page also still work. (and some no longer work)

EDIT: Here's another later link to the forum, showing a couple of years of progress in development:

@suzianne saidYou were here 3 years before I was. I don't know how much you bothered with what I call the "War of Words"! π

@fmf saidI hope you give the girls time off to do their nails, cry at sad movies and play housie.

-Removed-Yes, in the early days some of the RHP members used the forum to try and share a little honest information about who we were, etc. Perhaps it was careless.
Now, 23 years later, it's probably not a good idea to do that quite as openly. There are way too many trolls, creeps and preditors on the internet. π
@mwmiller saidAnd what a shame too.π’

@mwmiller saidEven 23 years ago it wasn't a good idea to exchange personal information.

The Reasons why are just more obvious in this day and age.
