That's the best you could come up with? Puke-Gate?

I dunno, I kinda miss the Movie Quotes game. Was a nice outlet for the geeky library that seems to reside in my head.

I made a game just to stump you, Kev. But some jackass hijacked my thread and messed it up.

I SAID GOOD DAY, SIR!

It's a little known fact among newer members that there didn't always exist a Spirituality forum. There was a time when spiritual debates were held in their proper place - the Debates forum - until a site rule was made that religion was a forbidden topic there, and all such discussions were cordoned off into their own Spirituality ex Debates forum. It's a rather embarassing part of our history.

Oh. That wasn't really the start of a new game. I just like saying it.

It is sad, both sections seem to be rather dull and do not add up to the glory of the former all inclusive debate section.

If we head over to the Debates forum, we can rejoice in the resurrection of Trouble in the 52nd week, as was written in the piled ash of Forum Issues.

I would certainly nominate Moldy, Ark & Angie...

... not to mention the infamous Mr.Baiter & of course KJ!
Just a bit to new here to be consider a legend just yet, Although I hope to making my mark at some point.

I will say that a future legend would also have to be Widget with his masterful use of words that has you thinking "what the heck did he just say?"

I suppose I should take the blame for this one (being the purported originator of the phenom that is heated spiritual debate here). I do miss those old debates with bbarr and rwinget though.

Ha ha! I came in a few months after those forum posts, but it brought back a lot of memories reading posts from people I haven't seen in the forums in some time. Reminds me of the MAP wars and such. Good times. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😀

I don't know if this would count as a legend or just infamous, but IM certainly has left his mark in a big way

The religious site wasn't created because religion is a forbidden topic. You twister of all things historic!

It was created because the religious right were getting up everyone's noses on every single debate going on. Par example:

"Would the world have been a better place if Colombus had not discovered America?"
Then some religious moron would answer: "THE WORLD IS NOT ROUND, IT IS FLAT. THE BIBLE TALKS OF THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE WORLD, SO COLOMBUS COULD NOT HAVE SAILED AROUND IT." in a Stang like monotonous fashion.

Examples like:

"Was the T-rex the greatest living meat eater to have ever roamed the earth?"
Then some right-wing religious swamp-dreg would reply: "DINOSAURS NEVER EXISTED. THEY'RE NOT MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE."

And it was examples like these that were driving the good spirited debaters to despair, alcohol and a severe loss of chess points.

And so the wisest of all, came together in council and decided on the banishing.
NOT because debates about religion should be ostrisised, but because not all debates should be contaminated by religious ramblings.

All hail the Spirituality forum. It is indeed a catchment area for the weird, the dumb and the misguided.
It's like a cabinet of freaks over there. It's like a cellar or dungeon where the more disturbing members of RHP lurk...

The wisest of all gathered 'round the table of Elrond, and were then known as the Fellowship of the Ring. They then placed the burden of the Ring on one tiny man's shoulders. His name was Russ.

I'm such a loser. Just delete this post...

Sorry, I just fixed the bug that was allowing deleted forums to be read. It was far too scary reading that stuff from back then too. Not much changes really though, does it?
