I prefer a long, thin blade. Sharp. Always sharp. A dull knife is an affront and little better than weilding a spoon. A truly sharp knife, skillfully wieded, will pierce the most resiliant skin with an almost religious or zen like poetic feel. Such work lends itself to artistic expression, a practiced flick of the wrist can pierce, carve or slash ...[text shortened]... that leaves a minimalist sculpture in its wake.
