Originally posted by eagles54I'm looking forward to it. And talking about bringing things to safety before you listen to a cd... My wife came in today when I was listening to track 4 of the cd I'm putting together for you and said "What the HELL is that??".
Eureka!
I've done it!
Despite being severely technologically challenged, I've produced a cd!
Better hang on to your hat, Ddv. You should probably remove all breakable items from your immediate listening area... 😉
Then she asked to turn it off.
About 45 seconds she demanded I'd turn it off.
15 seconds later, I damn well made sure I turned it off.

*edit* that's track 5, though track 4 might provoke a similar reaction

That's my style of music, alright!
Oh, this is gonna be fun.

I seem to be having CD burner trouble at the moment too. Hopefully I can get it fixed shortly. Have patience, young chicken.
Originally posted by royalchickenMine's been upgraded to semi-serious. I'm hoping to have the problem remedied by next week. Right now I'm a bit busy with other things to worry about it.

Sounds like a great idea. Although I haven't been online that much for the past few days and missed this thread.
I have somewhere close to 10,000 songs at the moment with most of them on my iPod. A lot of stuff I have acquired (noticed I didn't use the words "illegally copied" 😉 ) from friends which isn't even within my tastes but I am sure others would appreciate them. More is on the way. When another pairing up happens then I will be interested. :-)
In the meantime I will compile a list and provide a link so you can all see what I have. I wouldn't put them online to download for obvious reasons.

I just finalised my selection late last night after coming back from the pub, burned 2 copies of it this morning and posted one off to rhb there at lunchtime.
The other i'm listening to at the moment 🙂
Once the exchanges have been made we should post the tracklistings.
usual form last time was to post track listing - i didn't include one with your cd, so will post once I know it's been heard 🙂
Originally posted by eagles54Sorry to say it's something far more boring than that: I'm just swamped with work right now. I haven't received your CD yet, but I guess it might take for it some time to cross the Atlantic.
How's the exchange coming?
Ddv must still be in ecstatic delirium with the cd I sent him. He hasn't moved in over a week!
And I have to admit to not having finished my own selection, both because the only evening this week I was home before 10pm was the evening of the Champions League final and because my wife was around being all sensitive as to what is still in the realm of music and what constitutes noise. But there's another weekend coming up, and it should be finished then. Am I the last one to finish his compilation?
