1st. 19 puppy love. You can see the loyalty and love in the dog’s eyes and the connection between the little girl and the dog.
2nd. 2 one small step. It's a moment of deep emotion and proud for every parent to see their child make their first step or the first time they stand on their feet.
3rd. 13. Copycat. Children are the most grateful subjects for photography.
4th. 10. War's left over. This picture doesn't need any explanation.
5th. 6. Day out.

Cao Daism - I think this is great! It looks like they are resting between rounds of IK+ or something 😉 I like the top down look of the picture.
Hong Kong Mafia - Is that thing loaded?
Wars leftovers - whilst I agree the subjects and the flag make this a very powerful photo, and a deserved winner, I think the background needed a bit more contrast - take the guy doubled over on the left for example - his shirt meets the wall as one which looks a bit strange to me.

You mentioned the clinched fist. One could also ask of the other man staring straight at the camera: What is it that he doesn't want to see in covering half his face?

Of course in some cases it's easy to guess anyway, but I'd like to keep it as anonymously as possible. That makes it easier to be objective when voting, and it can also be fun to try to guess who took which picture.
